I love the Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel. I have had very pale skin since birth. I am normally quite satisfied with
my own skin tone. But sometimes, I like getting a tan just to change things up a bit. I find that there are certainly more colors I can wear if my skin is slightly tan. My pale skin is not very welcoming to pastels and other shades; I end up looking too washed out when I wear those. I have tried natural tanning when I was in my teens, but of course that’s very limited season-wise. Now that I’m older and a bit wiser, I also think it is foolish to be out baking in the sun just to get a tan, even with the proper SPF. I have since been on the lookout for good fake tanners. Easily Absorbed And Won’t Stain Clothes
Like I said, I’ve tried different self tanners. Most take several minutes to get absorbed and to finish drying, otherwise it will end up staining your clothes. On several occasions, I used self tanners while I was in a rush. Long story short, I have had to discard 2 tops and 1 dress because I ended up staining them. By the time I finish with the second arm or leg, the first one is already dry. Natural Tan, No Orange Skin
Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel gives the most natural tan, by far. I feel like I can judge objectively because I have had several horrible experiences with self tanning gone wrong. There was this one time, I used a self tanner and it came out all blotchy and orange. I looked like a Dalmatian, but with pale skin background and orange skin patches. I was an experienced self tanner by then and knew the proper method of evenly applying, yet it came out all wrong. Needless to say, I wore pants and long-sleeved tops for 2 days straight. Clarins, on the other hand, always come out with an even tan, natural looking. It gives a slight tan on the first application, and subtly gets darker on consequent applications. I can look like I’ve just hit the beach even when it’s snowing out.
Deeply Moisturized Skin
Clarins contains aloe vera extracts which is nature’s most potent moisturizer. As I’ve been using it for several months now, I have not only enjoyed a beautifully tanned skin tone, but I’ve also been complimented many times over on how soft and smooth my skin is. My boyfriend loves the feel of my bare skin. Some co-workers have asked what hand moisturizer I use on several different occasions. This self tanner can also be used for the face. Although I use it more frequently for my body, I have tried it a number of times on my face and it worked great. It gave me a nice natural tan, and it kept my face deeply moisturized throughout the day. It acted as a good base too for my make-up.

I am truly enjoying the very natural looking tan I get from using this product. My clothing choices have broadened tremendously because I am no longer limited to the very few shades that complement my pale skin. I am also enjoying the very smooth skin I get from using it. Among all self tanners I have tried, this one gives me the easiest application time with the best natural looking and even results. I urge anyone who is at the point of giving up on self tanners to try this product. I am on my nth tube and am still very pleased with it.
